Lillie's Bordello: Located on Grafton St, Lillie's Bordello is the most exclusive club in Ireland. A regular haunt of the rich and famous, Lillie's is themed on a Victorian brothel. Open seven days a week from eleven till late, Lillie's is the place to go if you want to rub shoulders with Dublin's beautiful people. Dress to impress.

The Pod: Built in an old railway station, the Pod is a funky club. The interior, designed by Ron McCulloch is unconventional and exciting. The Pod is an excellent club in its own right, having won numerous awards in the eight years it has been open, including the Ericsson Muzik Magazine Dance Award's "Best Club Venue" in 1998. Having played host to some of the world's finest DJs, the Pod is an excellent spot in which to enjoy a great night out.

The Red Box: In the same building as the Pod, The Red Box occupies the area once taken up by the station's platforms. The Red Box is used for fashion shows, concerts and launches, but mostly for wild club nights. The powerful PA and the state-of-the-art lighting system make The Red Box a versatile venue, and ensure that any event held here is sure to go with a bang!

Club M: Club M is housed in and owned by Blooms Hotel of Temple Bar. One of the city's finest, Club M is friendly and well equipped; the laser-lighting system is particularly effective, and the VIP lounge is frequently playts host to some of Dublin's many stars. Club M is one of Temple Bar's best club venues, and is well worth a visit.

The Kitchen: Owned by U2, this club is one of Dublin's finest. Hosting many themed nights, the Kitchen has developed a strong, loyal following. The Kitchen recently won three awards at the Smirnoff Dance Awards, including the prestigious "Best Venue" award. A writer in Muzik Magazine was recently quoted as saying that the Kitchen is "The best nightclub in the world at the moment." It speaks for itself.

The Vatican: The Vatican is located under the Russell Court Hotel on Harcourt St. This lively venue plays host to a diverse range of DJs and is always a big hit with the locals. Proximity to the city centre makes for easy access to this trendy and happening nightclub. A night would be well spent in the Vatican.

Bob's: Located in fashionable Temple Bar, Bob's is a bar come nightclub come restaurant. Downstairs in Bob's is slightly surreal, with old seventies songs played by a DJ, while muted cartoons are played on a big screen. Upstairs is more conventional with live music most nights and chart music also. Bob's is an enjoyable place to spend the night, but if you arrive late, be prepared to pay a cover charge.

Mono: This student-oriented club is styled after a bachelor loft apartment. The barmen here are talented inventors of innovative drinks that are sure to set your night on fire (or at least your throat!). Stylish and lively, Mono is located on Wexford St only five minutes from St Stephen's Green. A spot well worthy of a visit.

The Palace: Owned and run by the Camden De Luxe Hotel, the Palace was once the hotel's ballroom. The ballroom in its previous incarnation was featured in the film "The Commitments". The Palace is a lively spot, a favourite among locals. The music is good as is the atmosphere. The Palace is definitely a potential destination for those seeking a good night out on the town.

Peigs: On the corner of Kildare St, under the Earl of Kildare Hotel, Peigs is a popular spot for a night out in Dublin. With a gay "Disko" on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Peigs is a trendy club. Low door prices and cheap drink make a visit to Pegs easy on the wallet. The music is good and the crowd lively. Pegs is fun and a great place to unwind.

Switch: Formerly Club Zazu, Club Switch is in Temple Bar, Dublin's most fashionable, most popular quarter. With different events every night, Switch is definitely a happening club. Mondays are gay nights and there are other regular events weekly. Open 11 till late, Switch is a popular club, with a crowd of regulars who attend every week. If you like clubbing hard, than Switch is the place for you.

Copperface Jack's: This stylish club is on Harcourt St. With free entry Monday to Wednesday, Copperface Jack's is popular with the slightly older crowd. Music played is mixed. Part of the Jackson Court Hotel, Copperface Jack's is softly lit and furnished. It is a relaxing club more suited to those who aren't up for dancing the whole night away, but are more comfortable enjoying some social drinks and just dancing to their favourites.

Velvet : The Velvet Nightclub is part of the Harcourt Hotel. One of Dublin's most fashionable nightspots, Velvet is popular with locals and tourists alike. On Harcourt St, home to many of Dublin's best nightclubs, Velvet is popular for Jelly with its thumping dance tunes, and Gorgeous which is where the glamorous go to show off. One of Dublin's up and comers, Velvet, already a fantastic nightclub is one to watch.

Fireworks: Housed in a converted fire station, Fireworks is a Superpub that was opened in 2000. Very popular, with queues on Saturday nights, Fireworks is a rising star in the world of Dublin nightclubs. Developed by the O'Dwyer Brothers, who have opened many fine establishments in the city, Fireworks is among the best. Guaranteed to impress, Fireworks is unique and has an attitude all of it's own.
